Also I will say if you look at sac craigslist and if you can find an 06 with less than 60k on the clock your going to pay mid 20s. That's not a Vehicle that only cost 26k, 28 or even 30k in 2006 or it would be a good investment ten years ago. I have no idea what they cost in the first round at a dealer in your state?. I find h3s here with 140k for 11 to 18 recently. The 11k ones are trashed and base models. Not many for that price but I have seen them that cheap. One site shows sales prices darn near $40k..

The 06 H3 was $28k base. Price rose to just over $33k by 2010.

I'm not young, impatient nor do I hate my Hummers. I have owned three H3 Alphas and H3T Alphas and still own two.

Having said that and having owned over 30 new cars in my life, I have never seen a safety recall take 6+ months for a fix to be identified and the dealers notified AFTER notifying owners. It's not like GM just found out about this in July, they've known exactly what the problem was for a long time.

Unfortunately this is the new GM, the GM that acted irresponsibly as people were killed by an ignition problem for savings of pocket change. A GM that used bankruptcy to avoid covering warranty's on the same people they wanted to stand by them after bankruptcy.

Show me a safety recall in the last decade from Ford or Toyota that took this long after notification and I'll consider this normal. I've just never seen it and I've owned a lot more new cars than the average bear.

I wonder legally what would happen if a hummer parked in the garage caught fire and burnt the house down killing all inside. Negligence could be argued over the length of time this is taking.

I hate to even think of that. Someone would be getting very rich.

If GM continues to drag thier feet on this much longer. There will be lawsuits for damages if folks are injured in any way by this negligence on GM part...

I agree the GM of today sucks big time.

I will never buy another GM Car. However, I like Toyota-the Tundra. I also like Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT. The Corvettes seem solid and the new 2016 Camaro is very nice. I love my 09 Alpha but I've had tons of problems from the AC, side mirror, terrible rusty under-body, water leaks, sun roof, starting problems, etc, etc.

No plans to sell my Alpha but if I have any more issues, I will give it away!
