Thank you, and I like the look, too. I usually keep an eye out for good deals on used tires The BFG KO2's (315/70R17) are less than a year old with about 65% tread life left. I bought all four BFG's for $280 total, which saves me something like $500 (when accounting for remaining tread life) compared to buying new. I totally understand hesitancy in buying used tires, though!

When buying used tires, I inspect them pretty thoroughly for manufacture date, patches, plugs, sidewall damage, weather, and tread-wear. These BFG's have a pretty even tread-wear pattern with no plugs, patches, or other damage, so I am totally comfortable re-using them.

I thought so, too! I had to clean a small part of the lip on one rim up with a flap disk and some paint. It looked like it had just lightly skimmed a curb.

The offset on them is +20mm. The backspacing ends up being 5.79 inches compared to the stock 5.75 inches. The sway bar just barely touches every other block of the tire tread at full steering lock on flatland.

The rims are the "Fuel Beast D564 17x9."

Nice work. Although the carbon buildup in your intake needs attention
Also, replace the oe terminals asap!

Thanks I already put a bottle of SeaFoam in this tank and also put some in the oil about 100 miles prior to changing it. I have the stinger-style (off brand, though) terminals sitting on my shelf right now. I'm surprised they haven't been replaced since this thing has 320k on it lol. I will install my new terminals once I get some of the other projects done and it is drivable again.

I have seen the paint on electrical tape in stores but have never used it. Have you had good experiences with it? Thank you for the helpful suggestion.

My old keys and the old lock cylinder were super worn (to the point of being able to start the vehicle with a screwdriver). I coded a new lock cylinder (with the old code) and the old keys won't work on it. I decided to go to the dealer and have them cut a key from the VIN to make sure these old keys don't negatively influence a new cutting. They gave me my key code from the VIN but didn't have the key blanks in stock, so I ordered some "H3" marked keys from spamazon for about $10 each ( https://amzn.to/3tUIYWT ). They are supposed to arrive on Sunday, so I will have to wait until Monday before I get back to the dealership and have them cut.

Default DIY Cold Air Intake Style Tubing for ~$80

I got my parts in the mail for my cold air intake style tubing. When I cleaned the throttle body, I realized how obnoxious the big box was just before it. I figure this style tubing will allow for easier maintenance and visibility of the engine compartment as well as smoother flowing air. I expect a small drop in MPG since the big black box heats up from the engine and offers a lot of surface area to heat up the air as it enters the engine (hot air = less oxygen = less power = higher MPG). We'll see! I really like the look. I considered a DIY cast tube but decided against it. Maybe one day in the future when I have a lot of time to spend learning a new skill.

I haven't purchased a new air filter for it yet and am planning on going with aFe.
