Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

Driving H2 into remote places ( spare parts lost )

Default Where's the tread

You have too much negative camber/positive toe... get an alignment asap! Btw your front tires are dangerous to drive on,
rotate them with the back ASAP!

trail is here in Southern California by Los Angeles
The camber issue you see on the tires is because I bought the rims with those worn out tires. My truck does not have camber issues.

tomorrow morning, I’m getting the brand new tires and also getting alignment done

Negative camber is good

Positive camber is bad

Typically the issue on a truck with ifs is positive camber because as you crank the keys you run out of adjustment with a stock lower arm... Yes I said lower. Shortening the upper is stupid. The do aftermarket uppers because its a weaker arm so its cheaper to build

When the oem lifts a truck they do it at the lower

Case in point: H2/2500 versus Tahoe/1500

H2 and 8lug trucks are all about 2.5-2.75" higher and 1-1.5" wider at all four corners (3" wider track at the lugnuts in the rear) than a six lug...

If you have negative camber on a stock truck, DO NOT **** WITH THE CAMBER... Thats not whats actually wrong. CRANK THE KEYS BACK UP... They sag with time, lowering the front... Why you see all these Joe Dirt looking trucks a solid 3" higher in the back...

The keys are easy to crank *for reasons*

That said, anything under 4°- will handle better

Tire wear my ***

Id never notice, mine spend half their time perpendicular to my direction of travel lol

Lol, in true hummer style, start with a very heavy vehicle designed to go off road and then add even more weight until it requires a new suspension system lol

All these roof rack systems look like childrens bedframes...

I don't hate it, lol

Im saying this:

In the field, the H1 got up fitted with so much... Stuff... That Oshkosh (JLTV guys) had to come in and develop aftermarket suspension for the H1 as a bolt on

The h2 is already a ¾t, its the most uprated gmt820 frame *already*

1t/2t stuff doesn't easily carry over

Literally I want a Tahoe on an H2 chassis, a Colorado on an H3 chassis, an H3 on an H1 chassis, and an H2 on a Kodiak chassis, lol...

This is literally how the military would go about solving "but overlanding is HEAAAVY" </MichaelCeraWhine>

Im not a fan of the Oshkosh suspension on the h1 but I like those coilover units and shockhoops for my H2 fantasy lol. Realistically probably an in between chassis like a 1T truck frame modified for links and suv mounts, and then the 2t solid axles... Anyway Im dreaming out loud. Basically Ive had an idea for a glacier truck style vehicle, kinda like the van on dirt lifestyle right now, but based on a kodiak, using an h2 body and suspension like a 2t version of a volvo military cab over, with Unimog 2t axles, for a long time

It would be like a PLS you could pick the kids up from sports in lol

I guess Im kinda low-key saying Ive seen 10k h2 builds and the motivation is typically to add significant mass to a chassis that was already struggling with mass and yet I have yet to see anyone offer a significant chassis upgrade.

My fantasy is a bit much everyone doesn't need a 6x6 6ws h2 on 22.5x24" wheels with snow terrain Michelins...

But they *might* need one with, say, SAS, 10.5 rear axle and those Oshkosh dual coilovers repurposed lol

With an 8.1 or Duramax and Allison or Zf6 this would probably be the ultimate retrofit

Would people wanna buy a kit for something like that, around here?
