Hummer H2 For those who like a little more gleam to their Hummer, the H2 offers a similar rugged look as the H1, but as a lower cost, and with more added features, making it almost a massive luxury SUV.

Driving H2 into remote places ( spare parts lost )

On a different note, yall should look into Rugged Wrap

Imho rugged wrap with self healing ppf over it is the most durable possible exterior treatment for a vehicle that goes off-road...

Rugged wrap is marketed as bedliner wrap but its kinda like wrapping your whole truck in that thick textured vinyl they used to put to protect the paint from rocks on the rear fenders of c10/square bodies lol?

It comes in black, white, and grey cheaply but they will literally color match anything you throw at them, *in vinyl*

I prefer their texture, copycat products feel more like sandpaper instead of bumpy textured plastic

Anywho, its thick and damage resistant. Then you protect it with self healing for scrapes and scratches. They dont have matte but you can get lower gloss products that self heal with a heat gun. Over the rugged wrap brands texture, a low gloss self healing wrap gives a good end result.

Anywho... I see gloss black trucks for overland and think... Masochism?

If yall were seriously overlanding these, there would be brush-rash at the hood buckle below the mirror there the whole length of the vehicle...

It looks more like you weekend them at ORV Parks with side ropes and safety trails, which is fine, but you dont need 500lbs of wrought iron bedframe inspired dakkar expedition gear at the highest possible center of gravity for that... For fashion...

Roof shovels are the new rice lol

I started putting crap on my roof and immediately stopped lol

Hell ask Nolan at Donut about High-Truck lol ..

They loved the chassis stuff and hate all the heavy steel bull**** they added to it... I said it WHEN THEY WERE DOING IT

Baja blaster was my suggestion there

Bigtime was also something I told them and it split off into its own channel lol

[Edit] not trying to brag so much as just say, people more important than you take my advice seriously.

Adding a bunch of weight to the roof without a really viable way to uprate the suspension sucks

All that steel overland stuff gets heavy fast and its high up on the truck

Before adding it, instead of asking how cool it will look, ask yourself if you really need it lol...

Is 10 day exploration considered overland?
Places that civilians are not allowed like exploring a cave in Death Valley that has pre historic fish,
or the to catch a avalanche on Death Valley eureka dunes once in a life time opportunity we had to wait 6 days to record it.

i take government geologists to remote locations with my hummers.

as far as the roof rack goes and why it’s heavy,

the roof line on the H1 and H2 is over 2 ft wider than average SUV
if the material used to create the arch is not at least 1/4 inch thick steel it will bow under the weight,
on those vehicles the arch can’t have a middle support,
for that reason any heavy duty roof rack made for those vehicles is gonna be heavy, this is not by choice this is mandatory.

the reason it looks like children bed frame is because different items put on the roof requires different point of attachment and that design provides the best possible option
