I happen to be in the same camp as HummBob (and usually don't say much because I know its the extreme minority) and enjoy the looks of the Hummer vehicles over the fantastic offroad capabilities. I'm with hummbob, I like the look of chrome rims and low profile tires(not 1 inch of tread, no traction) In the winter i put the oems back on but i wanna powder coat them black so they look better. I like lift kits but to me(no offence to anyone on this forum) i dont offroad so they dont suit me though itd be nice to have my h2 with a 6 inch lift.

Wow! I didn't mean to set off such a firestorm, I was only wanting to hear why. Oh, I forgot...This is a new age where everyone gets offended at every remark. Lord, I appologize to the Pygmies in Paw Paw, New Guinea. (And the blingers too!)
My take is what it is and I never said YOU have to like it or agree. To the blingers, enjoy your ride, and if it fits you then more power to you. Just don't expect me to agree with you and call me a "Hater", whatever that is.
A few months ago I saw a woman, or actually my son saw her first, about 70ish driving a street rod. She was putt-putting down the road like most old people do in Florida and I couldn't help but to marvel. I thought "Why" would this old lady be tooling down the road in a car that could probably snap her neck if she got on it? But she was smiling from ear to ear and Irealized it was HER ride and she liked it. 'Nuff said!
So we'll drive our respective HUMMERs and we'll like the ones we like and be happy about it. If I think your HUMMER looks like a Hooptie or a Ghetto Cruiser, so what?! You might think mine looks like a Red Neck Mobile. Who cares, just move on and do your own thing, in your own ride, with your own set of ideas on what looks best for YOU. Just don't call me a "Hater" because I think your ride looks funny.

I think they were calling you a "hater" as a joke, if you are referring to HummBob's little picture. I knew somebody would take that the wrong way 
You said in your first post that you have nothing against it and stated your opinions to be just that, SO, if anybody takes it the wrong way, F 'em.
Obviously they didn't read your entire first post throroughly enough to understand what you were saying I think most of us did and know what you mean.
And as far as the people who do take it that serious (which I don't think anybody really did), they need to lighten up and realize your way is not the best way and everybody has their own style. I mean, look at what I did to my H3. I really don't give two ***** what people think, because I like it, and that's all that matters.

As for this thread, I actually thought it was pretty civil considering how passionately folks feel about their Hummers and personal style.
I've seen it get much, much worse on other forums.

OK, once again I used a bad or wong choice of words.....
What I meant was that I don't care if people don't LIKE my Hummer. The one's that DO like it, I like to hear opinions of what they like about it. If they come up to me and say "That Nine Inch Nails logo looks so gay" I would say "Then you must like it considering how you dress".....
or maybe "Those pin-stripes make you look old"and to that I would say "that face makes you look stupid, but It doesn't bother me"
