I shouldn't fan the flames, but I'm with HummBob - there was a definite "trolling" tone to the original post. And based on his response, he is still hating and doesn't even know it!

Nice though that the consensus is pretty clear - to each his own!

My additional $.02 is that all the soccer moms andpavement-pounders buying Hummers is only good news for the 4x4 1%'ers - it keeps GM interested in the Hummer brand because of all the $$$ it makes and will keep the product line improving and proliferating. Look at Porsche - they come out with the Cayenne that pi$$ed off just about every Porsche traditionalist out there, but with sales through the roof it enables them to come out with GT3's, Carrera GTs, etc. and even made them so much cash that they bought a piece of mega-company VW. Who woulda thunk it?

Bling is like a cultural thing - what your friends like and what you are exposed to. While I like zero chrome I sometimes have to remind myself what is really real and important. It is not the bling but who is driving the bling. Is he or she a person who would just drive by an overturned vehicle at an accident or do they have the heart to help others. Really everything doesn't matter at all-

I've enjoyed all your comments. Some of you guys are a Hoot!
We are all individuals with our own unique personalities and tastes.
We are part of this Hummer community because we love our our trucks.
This gives us the opportunity to see what other members are doing and to share whatyou have done to your Hummers. I see a lot of cool rides ranging
from diamonds to toads. (by toads, I mean that in a good way.)

I'm sure we can all get along with one another even if our tastes are different.

What is this world coming to?

Now we have Darth Vader trying to make peace [sm=vader.gif]and ImportKiller trying to stay out of it?

I think I woke up in the twilight zone this morning. I think I need a few more days away from here

Seems like everybody else hopped in on this one...what the heck..why not me. I think mud is a cultural thing too and this is a great point! I would be curious to find out....those who have "bling" would you say you are more urban than backwoods (probably living near a coast or major inland city)? and those who have "mud" would you say you are more redneck than city folk (probably in the heartland, midwest or just a little bit off the beaten path)?
I for one like mud and am not a city boy. Me and my friends like to play on the dirt bike track, shoot guns, drink cheap beer and get our trucks muddy. Its the midwest and thats just tradition.
Whether its mud or shine, I think there is a strong connection to how you live which is what gets painted on your rolling canvas. Some of us like the finished off cityscapes and that man made touch, some like the more natural it is what it is, take it or leave it kind of style.
I used to have a harley and still frequent motorcycle rallys and the one thing that always amazed me was the fact that when there are 10,000+ motorcycles in one place, 90% or so are of a single brand and of that brand, there are maybe 5 models in the majority...yet not a single one is identical. Looking through the gallery of this site and people adding new pictures of their new rides, its amazing to me at times that this is a website for 1 single brand of vehicle which has 3 models. But there are 3,000+ members of this forum and every single picture I've seen is completely different. For instance, look at our Avatars...we identify eachother based on a picture of our trucks! We dont have faces here, our trucks are our personality!! Especially since there really aren't a ton of aftermarket parts for the H3 yet compared to other brands, I think we've all done a great job of getting creative with our investments!
Thats my little thing....can't we all just get along?
