the reason why its so expensive is because the filter and pump are all one part. THe filter is "life" long.

As mentioned any issue with the fuel pump will show up in the ECM through a check with a diagnostic tool like a Tech II or alike.....

He was referring to the inline filter in front of the tank! Not the tank filter that comes with the pump! Which yes was the first thing i changed!
