H1 Transfer Case Leak
#2
where is it leaking from? If you haven't taken a t-case apart before, it might be a little overwhelming, but its do-able.
The t-case can leak from the outpus seal (where the driveshaft slides in), the spot between the t-case and the transmission, the t-case halves (between the front and rear case halves and the front output seal where the front driveshaft hooks up.
The front and rear driveshaft seals can be replaced without removing the t-case. The other two need the t-case removed, and the one requires dissasembly of the t-case to fix.....
as far as a good mechanic, any good certified ASE mechanic shouldn't have any issues with working on your tcase, nothing special....
