No idea, I have bought a factory head unit on eBay again that I will be swapping out, as my one is all damaged and scratched (not my doing, but it annoys me) and I bought a replacement one for $50 the other day. Will not fit an after market one as I am concerned about compatibility. Not much info out there, hoping to order an MP 3 adaptor for it this week end. So once all the stuff arrives I will pull the dash out and do it all at once.

Swap head unit, fit MP3 adaptor, fit switches, wire up grill light switch and overhead lights switch, will also wire up an additional switch for some long range driving lights I plan on fitting in the future. Only want to pull the dash apart once. So will collect all components first and then do it, have had the gill lights fitted for some time now just siting there not connected.

Well thats god news, I will dedicate a day to it once the stuff I ordered arrives, saves time doing it once as well I guess, I am in no hurry

Took the kids fishing today down the river and did a bit of offroading while I was there, to test out the levelled suspension.

33" tyres with levelled (not quite) suspension, front set at 23" (from 21.5" standard) and rear suspension is at the standard 24", will soon be adding spacers for the front shocks, as they are still standard.

all you do to take it apart is stick your fingers in the cigarette lighter ports and pull. becarefull when you pull not to over do it cuz there is some things still plugged in to it ( heater controls, 4x4 controls). you can easily unplug those and then do your work.

i know i would be flipping out if that happened here.
Interesting questions.

1) Yes it does, I have been to the US years ago.

2) Was not fun, they were not confiscated as such, they were 'bought back', you had about 3 months or so from memory to take your guns to the local police station where they gave you a receipt for them and a few weeks later you were refunded the money you payed for them from the government.

I handed in two guns at that time, not all guns were banned only semiautomatic actions.

I live in a rural area, a small isolated village about 100km from the closest town, we only have about 80-100 people here, and just about everyone owns guns and our crime here is non existent, my kids can roam around with no fear, and I don't have to lock my house or car.

I still have a Remington 700 SPS in 308, and a Ruger stainless steel in .222 that I use and love.

My .222 Ruger, custom trigger, epoxy bedded action and free floated barrel with factory ruger mounts and a cheap Tasco 4-16 x40 scope, it's a budget priced package that works a treat and surprises many with more expensive rifles and I reload and it puts 5 rounds into a single hole at 100meters, foxes and rabbits hate this gun

Remington SPS Tactical, 20" barrel, custom alloy bedding block epoxy bedded action, free floating barrel, custom made/fitted muzzle brake, Leupold mounts and Leupold Mark 4 scope, great pig and deer hunting rifle especially on those long range shots:

nice! well good to hear that you got to keep some of your guns. I still cant wrap my mind around the thaught process that semi -autos are somehow more dangerous then any other gun. but then again i never understoood liberal logic. i suppose you guys arent allowed to conceal carry either? Its a shame there is such restrictive gun laws there. thats one reason why i love my state....really laxed gun restrictions and LOW crime.
hows the ammo prices there? have you seen a sharp increase recently?

Cool boat paddle Ruger. I had one years ago in .270, you can't hurt those things. .222 isn't a cartridge you see too often, especially in a Ruger. I see you roll your own as well, and obviously a Nosler fan with those BT's.

Rifles and Hummers go together, let the pansies drive Subaru's and preach kumbaya.

No handguns at all permitted here for any use other than range/competition, you need a special licence for range/competition use only and special storage and transport requirements as well as monthly attendance to pistol club meetings etc to keep the licence, also takes about 12 months to get a license and it's not cheap.

No, the .222 Ruger in stainless was a limited edition, not many made, in hindsight I wish I had gotten the .223, bit bigger round. the .222 was very popular in Australia for Kangaroo hunting.

Default so they took your money...

a few weeks later you were refunded the money you payed for them from the government.
first "they" taxed your money, then "they" used your money to buy your guns from you to make you safe from thieves who might rob you of your money , or guns, or other wealth.
amazing how nice "they" can be with your money huh?

so the real criminals are running your country and are starting to run ours.
amazing how "they"write the laws to legalize plunder.
so only "they" can own auto weapons now huh? nice of "them"

oh, but "they" don't call it confiscation huh ??? cause "they"used your money to pay you. I don't suppose there was a new "weapons appropriation tax" levied about the same time so the burden of buying them was spread over the population so the gun owners didn't have to foot the whole bill to pay themselves for their own guns.
wonder if "they" are planning here,to use the same system. oh no, here the fed just prints money or creates it with a mouse clik.
