Check the sway-bar links, mine had a front end rattle and replacing them solved it.

I had a rattle coming from the front right (passenger) side a few days back. At times under acceleration it sounded more of a knocking sound. Certainly sounded serious enough that I didn't want to carry on driving it like that.

Took h3 to the dealer yesterday and today they called and said its ready - new prop shaft!

Previously it did have a bit of a clunk when hitting the accelerator hard - that is gone now and it generally feels much better to drive.

All covered under warranty (i'm not original purchaser). Very impressed with customer service at Liberty Autos in Dubai. They even washed it again for me (they did that two weeks back for the front grill replacement too).

Weirdly after pumping high pressure grease into all joints via a needle injector, I started to notice the rattle behind the driver side fire wall. It happens as low speeds "off road" leaving my house everyday. Sounds like I got the virus! Im way out of warranty and live on an island with horrible GM service. Does anyone have a link to the replacement part, or perhaps details on which part of the shaft needs to be replaced. I read all 35 pages of this post but there really isnt definite info on which part to change. The part number listed #25900714 is good but trying to find this on ebay or some other discount part store. Thanks for the awesome post and support!

By using your needle greaser, you have now given water a way into the joints. The boots are not only a way to keep grease in, but also dirt and water out. Even keeping the grease in will now be a problem. but aside from that, the steering shaft is GM only as far as I know. I deal with a lot of parts houses and get just about anything aftermarket I can. But I found no listings for an aftermarket or improved design. Dorman would be the fist one with a part like this to the aftermarket. The will usually assign a part number and advertize it 6 months before available. Nothing yet. The part is the slip joint section of the steering shaft between the steering wheel and the steering gear.

I have 08 and used to have the same rattle(thumping) but after I had the steering shaft replaced I don't feel any thumping any more.

dmb7280, do you mind giving me the name and phone number of the tech you spoke with about this problem. It seems to be very widespread, and not just in the 2007s. I have it in my 2008. My dealer is new to Hummers and will need to speak with someone that knows more.

That was cool. we've noticed a noise over the past month or so in the front-end, more-so on the drivers side.<a href=" http://aussiewhitegoodsrescue.com>ovens</a>
