Sounds like you do your own mech .I have a service guy that has done a few modifications but I think that I need to go to the truck guys ,not general car techs. however they did do a great job converting my rear top mounted dampners that disintrigated! With bottom mounted ones like the landcruiser and whilst they where concerned they'd make the drive a bit solid they've been great ..

I' m a bit worried though as I live inFNQLD Australia & we're about to do a big road trip and here parts are really hard to get hold of would hate to have a problem out bush .

Default Rattle

To whom it may concern,
This might help, I had two issues one was bad idler pulley.
The other rattle was a loose aluminum skid plate only happened when engine was cold or it was cold out. Both problems were rectified.
Now I have a new rattle from inside the exhaust, fixing that soon not a big issue. hope this helps someone. Its an '07 H3.

You guys realize this thread is old as dirt, everybody and their grandmother knows all about the TSB re: the 2006 and early 2007 H3s with defective intermediate steering shaft? This thread, the beginning of it anyway, was a READ for info, not blabber on about a forgone problem.

Nurse old
I realized that it had to do with a noise in front end,
the last I read was that someone was having a problem.
I responded with the intention of helping some and not reading the many pages of this thread period. I thought I was doing something good by saving somebody some time or grief.
by the way speaking about grandmothers, mine use to say: My grandson is a complete thimble brain.
