I'll double check when I take in to get the leather installed next week (hopefully).

Thanks for the advice.

I just bought another 2007 H3 (birch white)today here in Guam and once again, I felt the rattling 30mins after leaving the dealership. I called my salesman right away and he said he'll place an order for the replacement lower steering shaft.

The wife and I have been drivingour black 2007 H3 with the replacment lower steering shaft for 2 weeks now and we still haven't felt any rattling. The fix seems to be holding on!

Got mine fixed two weeks ago, no clunking or rattles since and we've had 90+ temps. Glad to finally be rid of the gremlins...

I have been experiencing the same problem with my 06. Would it be the same thing?

Yes, as many people with '06 H3s have had the same issue.

As many of you know, I was one of the first to experience the problem (or at least report it with the local dealer)here in Va Beach. It's been almost a month since I had the new lower shaft replacement and all is well. Weatherhas been much cooler here just recently, but I had a good couple weeks of hot weather and all seems to be ok.
There's still that part of me that fully expects to have the problem return when it starts getting hot again next year, but hopefully that will not be the case.
Hope everyone else is getting their fixes in a timely manner. It's certainly much easier to enjoydriving w/o it feeling like the whole front end is going to drop out.

The new replacement part continues to hold. My H3 is running great, even during warm weather (90's).

Hello all!

I just picked up my tactical H3 yesterday with 8 milesand needless to say, I am plagued with this shaft issue. I will call them in the morning. For Hummer not to disclose this issue to me made me feel like I got "shafted". I bought mine at Mcginnis, is that where you got yours serviced in Houston? Anyone I should speak to that is knowledgeable?

I spoke to Don @ Mcginnis and he stated that their is noreplacement part for the vehicle. He is instructed to replace it with an existing one. How is this the case when others here have recieved the part? Gotta reread this thread and call him back.

I heard there was a TSB put out by GM on this issue, but I can't find it listed online anywhere. Can somone confirm the TSB number?
