Just to add my 2 cents I bought the new version of the 07 H3 and I have the same problem. So you guys were right to say it is on all 07 H3s.I'll be taking mine in soon to have it fixed....fingers crossed.

My dealer here in Guam is still trying to figure it out. I gave them the part # so, we'll see what happens.

NOTHING will happen. Yet. That part # is useless. Is anyone listening???
The dealer is still trying to figure it out? There's nothing to figure out. Tell them to quit scratching their empty heads and to call GM and get up to speed.
Anydealers that haven't figured it out yetshould know soon- The current part does not fix the problem.
Do not waste your time taking it in.
OK, so you're all saying- who in the hell is this know-it-all greenshirt77. Well, I'm just a reg guy for the most part, but I do happen to know a good bit about what's going on with this situation. I have been dealing with it myself for the past couple of months and have discussed it in detail with my dealer's service dept, who has discussed it with GM.
Oh, and I slept at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Seriously, I'm just trying to be helpful and save others the headache of taking it in and having their clueless dealer service fail to solve the problem with an inferior part replacement and possibly f*ck something else up in the process.

Thanks for the heads up! I still haven't taken it to the dealership for servicing after getting some info about this problem. I've been in contact with them and I'm just waiting for the replacement partto beavailable.

The front body mounts.......that is interesting and makes more sense to me than the steering shaft. Seems to me if if were the steering shaft that you would feel something through the steering wheel, which I do not feel. Does anyone remember the commercial where you strapped the mechanic under the car and took the car for a test drive so they could check it out? Well, that is what Hummer should do....lol. Then maybe we could get this issue resolved.

I love my H3 but I hate to take people for a ride in it....they think it is falling apart.

I doubt it's the front body mount. I feel the tapping on the pedals, but not as loud as if the truck is breaking apart.

See, no fix yet ! As I predicted some time back. We're on a long ride on this one. This is the king of thing that gives GM a bad reputation for a lack of communication. Hummer dealerships rather than standing from the crowd, they just act like nobody else. They sell you a vehilcle and that's it. I dislike to sound so negative, but this is the reality........I had an 06 Honda Ridgeline, and the one time I had to take it in for service, the attention I received was superb..........GM, pay attention to the details. All 2007 H3s are affected with the problem. "GM, at least send-out a letter of actknowledgement." [:@]

eh... I feel ok about the service. the only thing that bugged me was that they kept playing dumb. being in the northeast, the temperatures aren't _that_ hot and the clunking around doesn't happen everyday here; and once it cools off even a little bit, it stops (until you drive it around for 40 min).

when I initially brought it into my dealer, they said they couldn't reproduce it. the 2nd time I went in, they said it's the first they've heard of it and they can't just place me on the list blah blah blah. oh ya, and they wouldn't take a reference from here seriously either. 3rd time, I gave the PI number from this thread; and they acted surprised. reiterated it's the first they've heard of it, but said they can't just change it out; they still have to hear it for themselves. finally, the 4th time I went in with the clunking and the same service desk guy said to the tech "it's probably that lower steering shaft problem. y'know, that really common one?" the tech also told me he's probably changed out 4 or 5 of them. so...at least now I'm on the list.

....first they've heard of it my butt.
