Yes, but I also have a large external cooler. Of course, the PO installed that backwards, routing the transmission outlet directly to the cooler before running it back to the stock cooler, and from there returning to the transmission. That does mean, however, that the transmission cooler internal to the radiator will technically take heat out of the coolant on its journey from the external cooler back to the tranny (tranny is running 40-60 deg cooler than coolant). Getting that sorted out with a full bypass is a project for another day ....

I stopped because it started raining . Tomorrow I am gonna sand it and check for flat surface and make everything is good and install the new one . I will also flush the radiator fluid and change engine oil as since it’s due . I also got a new thermostats just to be safe also
i ment no I have a transmission cooler infront of the condenser . Sorry I read it wrong

just finished sanding and checking for gaps and surface flatness . Tomorrow gonna put the new head gasket. Thats a pic of the old one. Gonna use carb cleaner to clean the head of the pistons they are so black

i am having a small struggle with the timing chain. Is there a way to remount it ? The tensioner putting all of tension on it and it only give me a little slack to mount. Any ideas how to put the timing chain back on the sprockets? I already marked it and all but that crap not mounting
