Still overheating! Help
Try some of that Wet'r water or the like that you add to the rad. Put an actual louvered slat opening on the hood not the wimpy black plastic piece.

I already did that last summer
thd one I replaced was the heavy duty one I think it’s high output??
is there a way to make the fan maybe run faster or is it one speed?
There seems to be something more fundamental wrong here. Double check proper operation of everything. You shouldn't have to have special parts to keep it cool, lest there is a restriction in the block?
Is your head gasket leaking?
Is your head gasket leaking?
you know I never checked the head gasket you may be right I’ll double check and report
Is the rubber flap on the bottom behind the skid plate missing?
Mine will over heat without it, I too have a separate transmission cooler, did a head gasket leak test, and everything. That rubber flap on the bottom did the trick. The one day I removed it my temps were way up again and it wasn't even hot out.
You can buy rubber underpayment at Home Depot, look in the flooring department. It's very inexpensive, I paid $10 for a piece of it. There's also already holes on the bumper that you can use to mount, then just tuck it back behind the skid plate/guard.

"The engine "under covers" are commonly called splash guards. But that's not the most important reason they're there. They serve three purposes: 1) they help the cooling system work properly by eliminating suction turbulence under the engine compartment at higher speeds. 2) They improve aerodynamics by eliminating drag under the vehicle. 3) They keep snow, rain, and dirt off the belt and pulleys."
