Key Fob
Here is the update. Tow truck came at 8am yesterday. At dealer they said maybe Friday as they are backed up. About 1 hour later they called and said the problem has been found. You will like this hummerz. The problem was in the wire to the crank sensor, that was broke. It would need a new harness. The break was up the harness inside the cover. So you were correct Mr. hummerz. As I looked up as far as I could without cutting the cover off. My mistake. One would be ordered and in this day Tuesday. Another hour or so another call, they found the harness at another dealer and limp mode was gone. Off to pick her up. ( Pause for a deep breath here ).Picked it up and all is good, runs great I live about 5 or 6 miles from dealer. Pulled in my driveway and H3 went into limp mode again. Called dealer, advised what happened. Tow truck will pick it up at 8am today. Not a happy camper here. It's not cheap at the dealer. Will post when have more info.
Tow driver drove it up on the flat bed. Got to the dealer and he let it roll off. Tried to start it , turn over and over, no start. Dealer says same guy works on all Hummers. They wouldn't let me speak to him. Bet they cook up another reason that it failed.
did they show you the old harness? you are entitled to your old parts unless there is a core charge. they are getting harder to source you might want to keep it and repair it on your own time.
I'll ask tomorrow for the part. I just got a call from dealer. Said I have a appointment at 9 am in morning.. Maybe about I need more work for several more hundred dollars. Damn shame I had to take it to them.
