They charged me $69 bucks for the harness. Waiting for a call from dealer. I'll have more info if I can talk to the mechanic. I'll pursue this till I find out his name.

$69.99 Got you a $3.31--> pigtail connector that was improperly installed! I never replace connector(unless damaged) and I never crimp the butt end, solder instead & heat shrink wrap! I only need a metri-pack terminal and some wire. 1 wire repair parts cost less than a buck.

Picked up H3 from dealer yesterday afternoon. I went into work bay and spoke with mechanic who worked on it. Nice guy. Lots of things he told me he repaired. Codes were po651 and po341. said, engine wiring conduit dry rotted and missing in many areas and exposing bare wire to metal hold downs and rubbing threw. Found two circuits grounded. Reposition harnesses and some conduit where possible. Test drove multiple times, codes did not reset. There was no charge for this. Drove H3 home and all is good so far. I will drive around today, to put more miles on. Now I tell ya, I do not trust this H3. I will not drive it very far from home. So what to do? I will probably sell it. I have another thing going on with it I had the trans rebuilt a few months ago. $4 grand. As my rear main seal was leaking, I had them install a new one when trans was out. They put it in wrong and it leaks. I took it back to them and they said was not the seal leaking , coming from the head gasket. Not true. Open up the inspection cover on bottom, oil in there. The mechanic who did the wire repair confirmed it was the rear main leaking. So I guess I am going to talk to a attorney. Live is not good in this H3 alpha home.

As I stated above, the 3 buck pigtail was improperly installed! Now back to p0651 + new code, which is not due to the wire loom, instead caused by the incompetent. I also posted above: "Make sure to loom/protect the wires after repair." Obvious, to those that have sight.
BTW, here's how the p0341 came into play:

So far it's not left me on the side of the road. Still not trusting it. Trying to decide about selling it. Some of the H3's I see for sale are way up there, even the 5 bangers. I have put a lot of money in this one. Never get it back. Oh well. Things to ponder.

Asking price is set by the seller. I wouldn't accept $19,999.00 for my '07! I've invested around $20k in Purchase, Maintenance, & Repairs. 9-1/2yrs later my average monthly P+M+R cost is around $175.00.

I don't think I would sell mine for that amount either. I go on and on about mine. Sell, keep, burn it, run it in a river, etc. Thanks to the good help here, I have decided to keep it. If it breaks down, it can be fixed. Yesterday I installed the rear light guards. I put the black steel ones on with the metal clips. My pass side mirror was knock off some time ago. At the car wash. They have a sigh states not responsible for damage. The won't even talk about it. It's in place again but no fold. Jury rigged it back on. They cost $250.00 for a new one on ebay. I look all the time for a used one. No joy. I have the black one's. Grill is black also. Anyone here have a source, or see one let me know. Now I have a ? My interior lights come on when any door is opened. But not the rear door. Where to look for a fix?
