Hummer H3For the Hummer driver who wants the rugged look and off road capabilities of the Hummer, but in a smaller size and with a more fuel economy friendly engine.
Raining here most off the day. Can't get door open far enough in garage to take a picture. Will try when it stops raining. Got to to be a way. Wire cutters?
I've looked at those. However there is a missing part on the picture. On mine there is a white piece on top that holds it on. If its not released, plug will not come off. There has to be a way to release it. I've messed around on this quite a while. Used a mirror to look, still can't figure what needs to be done.
Well Mr. hummerz you are correct , pooped right off. Damn. I must have tried to pop off the brake pedal .lol. Now I have the pedal in my hands, setting here in my not to smart
computer room. What do you think about taking it apart to see if all is ok. Just a teeny little look? Is it going to fly apart when I remove the 5 screws? Like a clock spring? Opinion?
I cleaned ( sprayed ) the plug and was putting the connecter on. The lock part sild down and I can't get the lock to slide up. So easy to take off. Secret to slide it back up? Will not lock in until I get the slide up. Hard to work upside down. When I get it back on, will see if limp mode goes away. Maybe buy a new pedal. Or not. May just tow it to the dealer.
Easy on the sauce when working on the H3. Yes, you can take it apart if the contact cleaning doesn't work? Did you clean the contacts on the APP sensor too? Make sure to insert your pocket screwdriver in the proper place:
Thanks, worked. I sprayed both the connector and pedal. Back together. Still in limp mode. Maybe buy a new pedal. I hate to keep throwing parts at the problem. And on I go.
Clear the code, start up, if code comes back immediately you have a open/short wire. Before you throw parts at it, inspect the wiring to the tb, app, & cks. Put on a pair of cheaters.
