if the pump is not running then there is no pressure.
that then sets the second p0131 code

Thx - pump IS dead. Original diagnosis confirmed, as expected. Now what? As per original note, this part is not available anymore. Suggestions? I did speak to someone about used parts, but these seem to come untested from salvage yards and this person has had to try multiple parts on various occasions.

It would almost seem that unless you are a mechanic (can do this stuff yourself) and have multiple cars available to use while this one is having surgery, it's sadly time to unload this. I worry that the next issue will be an unavailable engine or transmission part or something

2009s are a mere 14 years old. I plan on keeping my 09 Alpha for a long time and have no worries about parts. When there are no new parts, you buy used part, that simple.

However, I do all work myself, and enjoy working on truly OLD stuff, like 50+ year old Oldsmobiles and Harleys.

Who diagnosed? Did they inspect connector contacts & check continuity? Btw, many sites show 15240729 pump available.
Video below shows '13 vette with a ground issue.

Yep - I get it. Keep in mind we're talking H3, and not an Alpha. I'm not sure this will ever be a classic. If you are talking H1 Alpha, then I don't blame you. That's a keeper.

Nope, 2009 H3 Alpha Off Road, almost a unicorn. Not even thinking it would be a classis, just a sweet V8 Off Road truck. The only thing I would think of replacing it with is an 09 H3T Alpha Off Road, an actual unicorn.
