Default Starting hummer = roo roo roo sound

For awhile now when I start the hummer it is really sluggish to crank and makes a roooo roooo sound like the battery is dying. It is a new battery within the last 2 years. Has anyone had this symptom before? It has never not started, it just acts like I'm starting from a battery that's almost dead. I presume eventually it's going to not start, because it's been gradually getting worse over the months.

i guess check the normal stuff like battery terminals, ground straps, but it could also be the starter is showing its age. check the starter terminals for corrosion.

If so, do yourself a favor and hack them off and replace with a quality aftermarket set like Stingers or your favorite brand. .

I think you should check if there is a combination of electrical problems as damaged relay, fuse and the ignition cylinder being broken.

Charge the battery to 12.6 volts and then have it load tested, that is the first thing to do.
