Scrambled mirror temp
once the ambient air and the temperature shows up on the mirror and the truck goes in the full cool mode and goes all the way down to 40° in the daytime….colder at night….
The ambient air probes which is located on the right front fender, under the hood of the vehicle there’s two of them are ones for temperature for the mirror and the other ones for temperature for the trucks a/c unit….
presently my H2 is in the transmission shop for the eighth time, i have lost any confidence in this shop, very disappointed…..

There are a lot of unknown variables that need to be known before comparing vent temps. Things like blower speed and recic settings will have a large effect on the vent temps.
I would be interested to know what everyone's superheat (inlet temp vs outlet temp) is on the evaporator coil under charging conditions and at idle (is the suction line cold/sweating back to the compressor), this can help eliminate other components that may be failing. Generally the coil should be flooded with liquid to a certain point then change phases just prior to exiting the coil, this is heavily dependent on the correct charge (and heat load) which can vary depending on the condition of the system.

I haven't seen that low of a temp at the center vents of any vehicle with your stated test conditions.

I haven't had a chance to recheck my pressures again, but what is interesting is that today I was able to reach the green zone at idle, on half fan speed with recirculation (windows up). Granted, ambient temperature was only 73F, but very high humidity as it was raining. BUT...when I started driving at 40MPH with air over the condenser, it actually went up to 48/50F, which seems strange.

[/QUOTEif you want to get better performance from the a/c unit, put a pusher fan on the condenser, unlike old R-12, the best freon ever in my opinion, 134-A is creating more heat at the condenser than R-12, by putting a pusher fan on the condenser will allow for colder air at higher ambient air temperatures…..

today at 4:35, medium high fan speed at 95 degs, 74% humidity, Broward County,Florida…
