I think that's where a previous owner had roof lights. I have the same type of cable on mine. You can add a light bar or something to it.

 

Yeah...at one time, your vehicle had a light bar attached. The other end of your wires should lead to a switch on your dash somewhere that controlled the lights. My H2 has the same wire bundle up top. The switch on the dash doesn't look aftermarket, so I'm assuming the light bar was installed as an original option. Too bad I can't find a replacement...

 

Yes, they are correct. I have the factory light bar option on my H2. The pic you posted is the factory connection for the either the high or low profile light bar that was on the roof.

That circuit connects to a couple of relays under the dash that control the load for the power to the lights. On the other side of the relays was the switch and power wires that was mounted up by the interior map lights. I didn't want mine up there so I drilled a small hole just under the headlight switch for a more convenient location.

 

Here's what the switch looks like in ,my H2. When I activate it, the amber light still glows so I know it's still gettin' juice...
