Default Trailer wiring

Anyone know how to unplug the factory trailer wiring connector behind the rear bumper? It shorted the wires on the body there

Cool

Crawl underneath and look just behind the bumper. You'll find the connector. There's lots of threads on it as many of them have shorted right there.

Default factory mount causes problem!

the mounting clip that hooks it to the frame IS the problem! it holds it tight and the wires wear thru. give it a push/wiggle and free it up. that made mine safe for all these years.
you might be able to tape the worn wires.
everyone should move thay stupid clip!!
