PROBABLE DIFF BREAK...
I use BTM with the H1s butseldom did with the H2. Haven't really tortured the H3 yet. That is one of the good things about the forums...you can learn from those that are wiser and dumber and more and less experienced than you without having to suffer the same pain.

BTW, I've been on the White Rock trail at Hollister. My locker wasn't working at the time and I had to turn around. The XJ I was following that was open/open walked it with no problem. The trail is uphill, with lots of mogels, and very loose. With IFS and no locker, its damn difficult. Solid axles make a difference on that trail.
Hey NOMO, I know that sound all too well. [:@][:@]This was #3 of my busted diffs. I had the dealership replace the housing with the Alpha's cast iron one. Hopefully that will reduce the chances of #4.

I have an '06 Manual as ImportKiller and some of you were talking about. IK is right. The Manual does NOT have StabiliTrak, but was offered as an option in the '07 and '08 manual transmissions, but not in the '06. The only way to get it was to spend the $1895 extra to upgrade to the Automatic, in which it is a standard feature that the upgrade.
Anyway, if Traction Control can NOT be turned off, then what does the H3 do when you press the button to turn it off and the display says TCS OFF or Traction Off? What is it turning off? Is it just toning down how much it is used? Why put the button/feature on the dash to turn the system off if it doesn't turn off?
Hopefully somebody knows and can explain.

As far as WHITE ROCK .It is 2 trails the right trail consist of a frame twister solid white rockand covered with crushed rock(HANDLED IT BUT NOT AS WELL AS DAVES WRANGLER UNLIMITED). After that you can go right or straight.I went straight up the hill with tons of loose white rock and dirt and a pretty big boulder on the left halfway up.As I get closer to the boulder the dirt and rocks became loose and deep.Fearing That I would smack the boulder because of slippage.I back down. And the jeep and I make the call 2 go around.I go 2 my left and the choices were anotherLEFT down the hill or RIGHT up the hill.I stopped and the jeep and I decided 2 take the hill. This hill consisted of loose white rock of various sizes lots of loose dirt and a pretty big rut.NO BOULDER. I stepped aside 2 let the man go through. He crawled it.I was like a driving through bacon grease.
