PROBABLE DIFF BREAK...
I noticed with the last snow we got that even with the ST/TC turned off, my traction control still worked. It was weird though, on flat ground it seemed like I could spin a lot, but very little was alowed going up the driveway before it activated.
EitherI'm a victim of the diff orthe diff is a victim of me. I'm telling you guys that this trail was by no means atough trail.AsI said.My buddy DAVE in his WRANGLER UNLIMITED pretty much crawled this trail. I was sliding all over the thhe place.Like I was driving in a monkey cage during the lunch buffet.
ahh....see that right there says alot about you...many here have thought you were a troll....nowyour starting to prove them right. The wrangler unlimited in stock form would never compete with your h3...especially since you said earlier that you have 35's. That unlimited would need a ton of work to compete with an h3 on 35's. I have an h3 and a rubi and know the jeep line very very well....don't try to bullchit me here.
I am pretty new here and not 2 good with tech stuff.I will have pics manyana. As for the jeep.It had some mods.I never said it did or did'nt.And this is the first time anyone has asked.I drive a YELLO one 2 so cool it..
No problem nomo. Most of us have tried to power through obstacles we should have finessed with the obvious results. That is part of learning curve. This won't be the only thing you break.
The easy way to turn off traction control is to put your foot on the brake.
Per the 07 manual p255:
Per the 07 manual p255:
Brake and Accelerator Operation
Techniques for Off-Road Driving
For logs, walls, rocks, severe ditches,
hills, sand, etc.
1. Bring the vehicle to a complete stop.
Do not rev the engine.
2. Select the proper transmission and transfer
case gear range; usually FIRST (1) gear,
Four-Wheel-Low Lock for such obstacles.
3. If wheel spin is experienced, maintain steady
throttle, with your foot off the brake pedal,
to allow the Traction Control System (TCS) to
control the wheel spin. TCS will not operate
if the brakes are applied, even slightly.
4. If wheel spin cannot be controlled by the
system, fully press the brake pedal with
your left foot so all wheel spin is halted.
5. Back away from the obstacle so that a
new approach can be tried.
6. As the first wheel crosses the obstacle,
be prepared to alternate the brake and
accelerator pedal to maintain control and
avoid tire drop-off from obstacles. Repeat
this process for the other wheels.
