I'm no advocate for 20" rims....I hate em...but that being said, a 20 with a good mt on it would out-wheel a 16 with street slicks (at's) any day. Seriously....how can you knock the h3's performance when your running the equivalent of street tires?

ATs are fine except in mud.

If I need more traction I keep letting more air out

20" rims are for bling only and are a waste of time and $.

This entire topic is ridiculous.....AT's are made to be a street tire that is decent when taken off road...it's a compromise tire...They don't compare to a MT....that's just fact. MT's are better in rocks, dirt, mud, everything except soft sand where you want to float. If at's were as good as a MT they would be used at rock crawling comps and other off road events around the world.....sorry if you have AT's and think I'm knocking your tire....I'm not...I'm just stating facts.

I have ran BFG ATs on MANY trucks, I do not do mud bogs. Theydo reasonably well in sand, dirt and snow. I was the last wheeled vehicle to enter and leave the Pere Marquette State Forest, MI inJan. 1982 with four feet+of powder snow on the ground with my old Chevy. I was hunting snow shoe hares and several times snowmobilers stopped at my truck at the edge of the cedar swamp where I parked it believing I must have been stuck. I came in on an old logging trail 2.5 miles off the nearest county road, a trail not even the snowmobiles were using, until afterI left. I had 33x12.5R 15s on my built '79 Stepside small block w/ 4" lift (I could do donuts in 2WD on dry pavement, and squeel all of them in 4wd Lo! ) A pic of the old bird later that summer near the same area for your inspection.

My beef with BFG is their tire tread/technology is old. Tell me what they have done with tread and componds since the set on my old truck I bought in 1981????
They are a great tire for mild off road and highway use, not good in deep mud. There are newer and better designs now, this I agree with IK on.
They are not slicks!! [&o] Definitely a compromise tire.

I thought that if they are good enough for the H2 THEY ARE GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME.At $167.00 each they are way better then the bridgestone 33' and the goodyear 32" forget about it.

Talked to service today. They said that the ALPHA FRONT DIFF is an option at an extra $2000.They then told me that the inerds are the same as mine just that it has a CAST IRON HOUSING.The only thing it would do is serve as better protection and add 50 some pounds.4 GET ABOUT IT. Thats real nice to talk about the BAJA CHAMP like that.
