agreed Doc...they are a good compromise tire....but my point is that when you fail at an obstacle when offroading rather than blame the truck I would first look at what kind of shoes it has on. Which I'm sure you would agree.

And the reason why h2's run bfg at's is because they won the bid on the contract...not cause they are the best tire for the truck. If you like AT's this is the best one on the market right now...at least as voted by the major mags....

If I was runnin 70-90 mph in Baja, I would run BFG's. Since I rarely bust 75mph on the E way, don't think I need em?

Yes NOMO, they are better than my 33 Duelers (another compromise tire). I am still undecided on what will replace em after they wear out??? I like what everybody has to say about the MTZs, but not the mileage life. I also am realistic, I/we drive a hell of a lot more on road miles that the most off roadingest (new term) dude/dudette on here drives off pavement. So I have to compromise a bit somewhere?

Can't justify two sets of tires and wheels for the daily driver................yet?

listen newb....let's not resort to calling names...trust me, you don't want that!!! BFG's were a great tire 20 years ago...too bad the tread designs and compounds are the same today. THe dune grapplers are made by nitto....not a new company. But keep on posting your crap...everyone here already knows what your about btw...how's that 05 h3 doing?

Look.I run NITTO NEO/GENs 245/40/18 on my 2002 WRX.They are AWESOME.Ialso said in an old post that I was going to get those same NITTO DUNE GRAPPLERS,on MY RED ALPHA when I get it.Because the tread is sick with flamesAND WITH A redH3 [sm=badbadbad.gif]FORGET ABOUT IT. BUT the BFG A/T TKO IS------The best choice for meas all around tire. This tire has gotten me throughalot ON AND OFFROAD.I thought my H3 rode nice when I got it.Whatever! When I gotthess BFGs THE world changed. It is LIKE RIDING ON A CLOUD. I chit you not . Sure you could say that tire choice my be a factor. And nobody is saying that the H3 isn't a worthy offroad machine.------SEWIE HAS BUSTED 3---THREE DIFFS-----AND HE IS GOOD WITH HIS H3-------HE RUNS TOYO M/Ts[sm=interesting.gif]AND A REAR LOCKER.[sm=headbang.gif]

I wasn't reffering to the diff breakage problem...I was referring to the fact that you said you were having problems going up the hill...like you were driving in grease or some chit like that I think you said, and that your buddies jeep limited crawled right up it. BTW you never said what kind of wrangler unlimited he has?

Everyones idea of wheeling here is obviously a factor.Sewies idea is RUBICON,FORDYCE,etc.NOT FOR NOOBS.2 ME I would never ride those trails as with any rig your breaking risk goes up when you are riding some of the most hard-core trails on earth. And others Idea of wheeling is a dirt road of the side of I-5.Most H3s will never wheel in the true sense. If you wheel your H3 there is a learning curve as with anything and breakage happens to pros.So for those of you whose idea of wheeling is this little dirt road I refer to.I can understand the denial of what is happening to mine and other H3s.JUST BECAUSE IT HAS NOT HAPPENED TO YOU.DOES NOT MEAN IT WON'T HAPPEN AFTER YOUR 50K ON EARLY BUILDS.
