No start- just click
2006 hummer H3. Truck won’t start sometimes, just makes a single clicking sound. I don’t believe it is the starter as the vehicle will start after disconnecting the battery and resetting. I sometimes get the “lock 1” code on the dash (not always). Battery is fully charged, all lights work. Thank you

Disconnecting the battery does not "reset" anything, your PCM stores the last 300 ignition cycles power or no power. What you did is temporarily establish a solid connection until it fails because of vibration from the engine and/or driving.
Are you still trying to use the crappy azzed OEM Battery Terminal Connectors? If so, hack them off and replace with a quality aftermarket set like Stingers or your favorite brand. Look it up here, known issue and the first mod to be done to every H3/H3T.
The OEMs will 100% always fail eventually, especially when connecting and disconnecting because they have a design flaw where the tightener bolt will not properly connect to the terminals and cause inconsistent connection creating voltage variations at the PCM.
The lock symbol is for passlock, which can cause its own issues, but different than you describe.
Good luck. Let us know how it goes.

Doc, thanks for the quick reply. ok- replaced terminals
With the ones you suggested. Didn’t seem to cure the problem. It seems that when I set the alarm with the FOB - won’t start. Also, swapped out batteries with a “known” good battery. Still getting the “lock 1” message. Also, when it didn’t start, battery was fully charged. Disconnected the positive side - waited 2 minutes and started right up

Automatic Door Locks
This feature allows you to program your door locks to a preferred setting:Lock 1 (default)
On vehicles with an automatictransmission, this mode locks all of the doors when the
vehicle is shifted out of PARK (P) and unlocks all of
the doors when the vehicle is shifted into PARK (P).
On vehicles with a manual transmission, this mode locks
all of the doors when the vehicle speed is greater
than 15 mph (24 km/h) and unlocks all of the doors
when the key is removed from the ignition.

So…….
new stinger terminals - one hitch, truck starts as should up/until I use the FOB to lock the doors. Other than that everything is good 😂. Doc, thanks for your input
