Default 2006 H3 won’t start

I have a 2006 H3 that will not start when it is hot. Won’t even crank. All lights and everything turn on but will not start. It starts fine if it cool or if it’s been sitting for a while. But when sitting in the hot sun or driving for a while it will not crank. Changed my starter and my passlock and still having problems. Can anyone help me??

MOVED this for you to the H3 section where all questions regarding H3s go.

Does it have an aftermarket alarm or kill switch installed?

Do you still have the crappy azzed OEM Battery Terminal Connectors? If so, hack them off and replace with a quality aftermarket set like Stingers or your favorite brand. Then let us know if you still have problems.

You should try checking ignition switch if it is full of a mixture of grease and dust. Clean it if yes. If it doesn't work. check the battery if it is bad or die.

Still have issues after replacing battery cables and connectors, new starter, excellent battery, new passlock etc. truck will NOT start if it’s hot- all lights and everything come in but does not even turn over. In the evening when it’s cool or if it sits in the shade it starts fine. Any other suggestions? PLEASE HELP!!

Try swapping relays:
#77 with #87
If still no crank
#78 with #88.

Product of Sri Lanken yet it doesn't crank when hot.
My DEKA battery cranks, no matter what the temp is.
