05 h2 hummer. Moon roof leak. Now wants to open but doesnt. Seems stuck. Any other way to open to clean out drain holes....???

 

You might be able to assist it opening and closing but there is a risk that it could get jammed and stuck open. On mine, it will open but I have to push it forward pretty hard with one hand while holding the button to close it. Tilt works fine though. Probably the only other way to get at the drains will be to drop the headliner around it, then you could pull the tubes off and clean them that way.

 

mine was running a bit slow and I cleaned and greased the tracks with white lithium grease spray. it helped a lot.

Unfortunately the dealer I bought my truck from oiled the slides - bad idea, only made things worse!

PTFE spray might be better or the lithium grease spray as suggested by bronxteck.

 

Agreed - most white lithium grease, when in an outdoorish environment tends to get thick and stiff over time.
