Sorry, but there is nothing that will convince me that a 5000# vehicle with a 3.5 litre 5 cylinder has more pick up than the same vehicle with a 5.3 litre V8. 220 HP/225 lbft vs 300HP/320lbft? Not even the low mileage '07 I drove which had the larger 3.7 with 239HP/241lbft could hold a candle to my V8. A CAI & dual exhaust can't make up an 80HP/95lbft defecit. I'm sure it "sounded" like it was going faster, though!
Volant super charger and Dual Exhaust from Magnaflow. Not rosy, real. Hit the gas and was planted into the back of the seat.

I think you need to better rationalize. It is more like a toaster that has been recalled because when you use it can go on fire. Or living in a house that has cancerous Chinese drywall.

See, you took a leap by stating WE are doing something and putting ourselves in danger.

So, sorry use one of the analogies I provided and you'll be A-OK.

Volant never made a super charger, cold air intake but never a supercharger.
Dual exhaust? On an I5? Maybe the muffler had 2 outlets?

I call it humor, you call it analogy. Hence the sarcastic

You could hide under your bed all day to be safe as possible, but an asteroid might take out your whole house while your under there.

My point, I am about as worried about my H3 catching fire as I am from an asteroid strike. However, I never leave the toaster plugged in when away from home.

It's a cold air intake, not a "super charger", and it's a dual outlet exhaust, not a dual exhaust. And none of it added 80HP and 95lbft of torque. Not saying it didn't make a difference, and not saying that it didn't "plant" you back into the seat, but so does my V8.

It was also explained, on multiple forums and social media pages, that the connection only overheated when the control was run on the 2 highest settings for a long time.

I took that to mean that if I used the control low settings, I had nothing to fear. And guess what? I only used low and had NO problems and never felt that I was in a "timebomb" waiting to burn to the ground.

Avoiding half of the blower settings is all fine and good if one lives in a moderate temperate zone. However for those that live in Florida, Texas, Arizona etc., (Florida and Texas probably account for more Hummer H3's than any other 4 states combined) not using blower speeds 3 and 4 makes an AC damn near worthless for 6 months out of the year.

dont panic, this is not a crisis!
in the hi mode a relay takes all the motor current and the relay coil takes very low power. its the best speed if its not too much air/noise.
in discussions of electrical issues you should be looking at a wiring diagram....not making wild guesses!!
