lets not make this into an anti any bling board like the other place. Personally I would rather put up with the occasional problems that a concealed winch may give you rather than drive aound town with a big ole ugly winch hanging off the front end. If this was strictly a trail rig then sure, whatever is more practical...but as most of us these on the road most of the time....I'd rather drive something that looks AND performs good. I've had concealed winches before and never had one bit of problem.....if you bury the front end to the point that the concealed winch is under, then the winch hanging off the front end will be buried too. Actually the exposed winch on the front end is more prone to trail damage than one in the bumper...I'd rather put up with the occasional mud clean out that having my $1500 winch getting banged around and wacked with tree's.
