Battery was testing as bad today so I replaced the battery. Now the security system has me locked out. No start. Red light now blinking on the radio. Any advice? One person told me that I needed to keep a power supply hooked to the battery leads while I had the battery out, but too late for that! HELP!

 

i had dead batt, charged it, ran fine but lights were goofy, couldnt predict what they would do.

i unhooked batt,shorted the wires together, reconnected them,,ok.

it seems to reset computers. you had it out but try the above. i heard it here.

oh,,double check tight connections, it dont like noise/intermittents

 

Newer cars nowadays have that type of security. Its the same with BMW and mercedes.
