Paige, I am going to do it BUT then I also have a GM letter for a $200 coupon (which makes a big difference in my pocketbook)...UNLESS of course they want to come back and tell me THAT letter is no good now either!!!! [:@]
Yea, I'm gonna go on and do it too - I just HATE to pay them that amount to do it when it's simple work ... would be nice to have that coupon!!
LOL I haven't tried to use that coupon yet and it could be that it turns out to be TOTAL BS as welllike my extended warranty letter..who knows? In thinking about this tho, I do believe if I were you I would bite the bullet and go ahead and spend the $ with them this time for a couple reasons....mainly because your H3 falls within that "bad vin range" doesn't it? This will (as others have said) establish a service record/rapoire with them and show that you have serviced your H3 as they deem necessary.

In the future, find a fairly reputable place such as a tire place or whatever that does most all basic maintenance services, yet who are cheaper than the dealership and utilize them. Maybe doing some of these services one at a time rather than forking out $200-$300 a whack. I am sure some of the men here will disagree but there comes a time when we have to put some amount of trust in others when we cannot do these services ourselves. Meanwhile..OK WHO wants to come and hold a class andteach us gals how to do the basic necessities?! LOL <donning gloves to protect my nails!>
i will be happy to help if yall feel like driving to TN
we can put them up on the racks and go all over the H3
and can even do an alignment

LOL kild! That might be convenient for Paige, but not so convenient for me since I am probably at least 13 hours or more away from you! I sure would if I had someone local to show me how tho!

This might be something that local Hummer groups could look at doing as a part of being a Hummer owner. When they have their get togethers, someone could host a little seminar on how to check some basic things on your truck, and how to do your own maintenance. They could pick a members truck, and do a demonstration on what to do, that way, people who want to know can learn from people who actually work on the same vehicles.
