Default Whining sound

Hey folks, last week I went to the beach and I had to put 4wheel lock down because of the thick sand . But when I drive I hear a whiny noise coming from under. It only happen when I put it in 4lock down and only when like I press on the gas and moves . What can be the cause of this? And how can I make that whinny noise goes away?

Low gear ratio! Lo range does in fact whine.

You do not need Lo for sand. Sand requires lower tire pressure (I run like 12-14PSI Front and 11PSI rear) and a bit of momentum. If you do not have access to getting quickly aired back up for street travel, at least take it down the mid 20s as it will help a bunch.

okay so I am not crazy l. And the beaches here are like 15 inch sand. When u go on it using other gear options I get stuck so I have to put it at lo for me to move freely and I don’t like plan for it to put lower pressure all the sudden I be like okay let’s go to the beach and then I put it at that

Put it in 4Hi Lock, turn OFF the Traction Control, lower tire PSI and let it rip.

The dunes here are a few hundred feet deep. The old 07 near new.
