noise while acceleration

noise while acceleration
I just bought a H3 this past weekend ...it is an 08 with 64000 miles.
If I am stopped and then press accelerator I can sometimes hear a popping sound
But it does not do it if I am driving down the road and press accelerator ...
Is this something that I should be concerned with? Thanks for any input
