FYI, the owner's get paid from the insurance company, when totaled, have to surrender the vehicle. The insurance company attempts to recover some of the loss by auctioning off the vehicle.

maybe i didn't express myself right, when accident happens and go trough insurance, the prices are stupid to fix

A scratch or dent, can be costly, to match paint and clear coat. However, top insurance companies(Farmers is ranked #7 in the US) have their own advisors to evaluate the repair. The above was totaled at $9,181.00 (with the best quotes available to repair). Bottom line, more than "broken plastic".

Well, as an example, I fixing my hummer now, so I took apart everything I could, to rust proof it and paint. I'm not a body and paint guy , so I was shopping for paint job. The price range was from 1800 - 8500$
The guy from 8500$ told me that they licensed and ****, so basically he could do it only for insurance rates... so here good example...
