We haven't had any major issues(out of the ordinary problems) with ours. Just like with any used vehicle, all parts have a lifespan and will need replaced at some point. I think one very important thing to consider when purchasing is inspecting it very well. See how it was taken care of previously. Check everything that you can, and if you don't know what to look for, when you take it for a test drive take it to your mechanic and have them look it over really well.

Got my 2007 brand new in Nov 2007. No bulb changes, 103K miles on the motor with nothing but oil changes and front brake pads. I've cleaned the air filter and throttle body a few times as well as changed the front brakes. The rear brakes are still original. Minimal maintenance on this beast. I did have a head issue at 40K miles but it was replaced under warranty along with the coolant etc.

Bought my 07 in Feb. 2007. ZERO issues, except the power steering cap disappeared in mid 2008, dealer got me another under warranty. No different maintenance than any other truck with a front diff and transfer case.

DOOD STOP SHOUTING AT MEEEE!

Seriously, the H3 doesnt have any major faults. The radiator has cracked on a bunch of folks, some complain of the interior seat fabric not holding up and some complaints of the front end being weak under extreme conditions. The engine doesn't grenade itself unless you buy an 06 without the recall work and the sunroof might leak but a quick clean of the drains puts things right as rain. So go ahead and buy it, just get the one in the best condition you can afford.

I just bought an 09 Alpha in Cocoa Beach, Fla. I still have my 06 Prius ... Gonna dump $ in her, new wheels/tires, winch, roof lights, etc. So far the passenger mirror only goes up and down, not sideways, need to pay Locksmith to re-key roof racks and fix drivers door from previous owner fender bender. Other than that, it rides and feels good.

Only consistent issue I have is a shaky drivers side mirror, all breakage otherwise is due to off road enjoyment

I love mine. 2007 h3x The previously mentioned leaking sunroof I experienced, but my dealer fixed it under warranty (even though I was technically out of warranty).

The door handle to my glovebox has broken twice (what the heck?!) but overall it's been pretty great!

I also love that the Cadillac dealer is my service place, so the few times she's been in for service, I roll out meanwhile in a CTS caddy.

I'd love to have an alpha!
