I have an OBD bluetooth adapter with an app that gives me details, but I'd prefer to use the dash gauge as it was intended and leave the OBD data for other things.

By saying "it's normal" are you saying none of the H3 gauges read past normal.operating temperature?

I'd prefer not to waste time on this either, but mine likes to threaten overheating, so I want to watch it. Once I know what the dash gauge is telling me I can just watch it rather than having to have a scan tool attached.

 

Chubs the Bluetooth obd you have. Will it show transmissions temp too?

I prefer the dedicated ScanGuage, over using a bluetooth or wifi adapter linked to my phone. It's plugged in to the OBD port with a long cord to a small display screen that displays all info at a glance.
