Yes it could work, how to keep it secure, is the question? It has adhesive backing, yet not tested in a wind tunnel. Find a way to secure it to the tank, or it will be flapping around like a skirt in the wind.

Still has plastic studs sticking out where the old one mounted to. looks like the push clips broke off i guess. Still has material backing from the aluminum piece stuck to tank, I guess ill try mounting the adhesive piece to that and secure with new clips. The old piece mustve took alot of heat because it was in rough shape.
