Default 2003 H2 Hummer gasping for gas at 55-60 MPH-why???

In between 55-60 MPH when the Hummer is at a steady speed, it starts to hestitate like it's grapsing for gas, then it'll down shift and stop or I will press the gas peddle and make it shift to stop the hestitation.

Current mileage: 94,000, I always maintained the maintenance on it. I'm the original owner.

What is this? Why is it doing it? What can I do to get it to stop doing this?

Thanks-
Paulene

I would replace the fuel filter and run some good injector cleaner through the fuel system. TECHRON By Chevron is a good one. That would be a cheap and easy fix. Spark plugs and plug wires would be the next thing to do if they have not been replaced. Good luck.

May be a plugged fuel filter or a plugged cat converter, fuel filters are only around $30.00 so it don't cost much to find out on that one
