Another thing that I did notice and not sure if it is normal but when I take the fuel cap off at the back it sounds like an air pump through the filler tube.

If the engine is running, the tank mounted fuel pump is running as well.

I know that bit I figured it would be more of a hum then a compressor sound. I did drop it off at the dealer to try a pcm reset and update just to see what happens.

Back from the dealer there was an update for timing and they did it. However a P0017 is now of concern and it still stalls at operating temp. Pulling it apart and checking timing once again I guess.

Code P0017 can cause the engine to get carbon build up inside the cylinder and on the valves. This is caused from improper combustion of the fuel mixture from camshaft alignment problems. The engine may need to be decarbonized after repairs are made.

Starting to lean on that VVT sprocket, I am pulling it apart again tonight.

I am also saying it is the vvt sprocket gear because when I had it in my hand it would have play back and forth and the new one I have in my hand doesn't move hardly at all. Which in theory until warm up and it hits closed loop the pcm trys to call for advance or retard gear won't advance or retard due to sticking or locking up. I think the ecm detects a fault and shuts down. I didn't test the gear while it was out which a shame on me when I changed the new chain guides and tensioner. Does this sound plausible or am I losing it lol. I'm also going to try and change it without removing the front cover again if its possible.

Plausible. Yes you can do that job with the front cover in place, but you have to hold the chain in position. There is a chain holder tool, or you can devise something with a wire or strap to hold it up.
