Right, I thought mine was fine. Leaks air from every crevice on the darn thing. Unlocks 1 in 1000, even hit it with 150psi still nothing. Kinda wanna break it open to have a little look. This part also leads me to thinking it was faulty for the last year pre new head assembly, idle issues, starting issues. Just surprised this rig hit me with all different things at the same time. 90000 miles smh.

I will agree hummerz however there were still things wrong that seafoam wouldn't have fixed.

Man this is a pile of ****, I've done everything all tests come back good. Idles and drives like a champion with no codes at all. Still hits half temp and stalls. What am I missing cause I am at the cross roads of crushing this piece. All I got left is coils and injectors.

Sure, try throwing more parts at it?
Looking over your thread again, I don't see any stalling noted, until you replaced the CKP? What part # did you use? CKP variation relearn done @operating temp(195°-205°F)?

Literally chasing my tail lol. I don't wanna throw any more parts at it thats foresure. I feel like it keeps getting better. I did do a crank position relearn before the exhaust cam gear but it might not have been exactly at engine temp. Only because it stalled around then and I can't complete it when it stalls in the middle. I will attach all I have done below and yes I know I have changed more parts then necessary out of frustration hummerz. It runs and drives perfect without a hitch no shake vibration nothing but then it just dies. I can restart it and carry on till the next idle down then same results. Crankshaft position sensor Napa UNI CSS9256

First incident
H3 hummer hit reduced power service stabiltrac and stalled out. Icm check sum error, tac code, b camshaft position over advance, misfire on 2, random misfire. I then brought it into the local mechanic at which point the tech did the compression test. Then a cylinder leak down test which failed horribly. Ruled it as the cylinder head valves. I brought the unit back home and started to disassemble it from there. After further inspection found the water pump bearing was loose, 💧 pump bearing was sloppy idler pulley making noise as was the alternator etc etc.
I installed the pre assembled remanufactured head from cylinder express new gaskets, head studs, timing front cover because it had a small crack and oil pump cover as it came with it. I installed new...
-timing cover
-cylinder head
-oil pump
-pickup tube o ring
-thermostat
-all gaskets
-throttle body and maf sensor
-camshaft actuator GM
-timing chain set up all gm oem parts
Took it to a second mechanic did a crank relearn after everything was back together stalled a few times on the way over. We did a crank relearn and it ran amazing for 15km give or take. No stall at operating temp. Stalled at the mechanics drive way when we slowed down. P0017 was back.
Replaced the crank sensor and still the same results.
Then I took it to the chevy dealer and they said it needed a pcm update. There was one for timing so he uploaded it. Drove it back home and it stalled again. Pulled the cover again found the cam actuator sprocket was locked up and had some free play. Replaced the sprocket checked my timing again and it was spot on as far as I can verify. Noticed the driverside coolant hose wasn't warm at all after warm up, so I replaced the thermostat along with all the coolant and cylinder temp sensor. Temperature reads normal now, and coolant hose gets hot on passenger and warm on driverside now. Which is awesome.
Current status is runs great till warm then stalls at low rpms.
Ran some seafoam cleaner through the intake let it sit for 10 and added some seafoam gas additive to the tank. Same results. Dies like a vacuum leak, or fuel pump cut off when warm. What can I do hummerz?

a bad crank or camshaft position sensor can fail when hot causing shutdown from loss of signal and might not throw a code. i had it happen on a dodge. in my case it was the cam sensor.
