Are they stingers? Using the ignition switch drains the battery. Honking annoys the neighbors and also drains the battery. Dried bat wings are used for healing the sick. Did you check to make sure the horse was healthy?

 

Took off drivers door out of curiosity today, wanted to see if I can take out top hinge pin, no luck, need a press for that.

Meanwhile investigated connectors, unpleasant sight, a pin was broken off, multiple pins shoved green oxidation, dirt everywhere.



I have no idea what that red cable is for, need to investigate documents.
After cleaning up and putting it back together, and loosing red connection of course, unlock/lock is not working and remote is also not locking unlocking.
If red is nothing important then as Doc said, functionality will come back, will await that!

Pin restoration project will be for another day.

 

Update.
Yes, that red cable is integral to locking unlocking, without it I can rise all other doors window, but I can't lock/unlock with switch/remote.
Red cable has power!
Also, pin on door cable harness just crumbled apart as I pulled it out.




My car is in remote garage and I have not yet hoarded all kinds of cool stuff to use as repair, so I improvised while ordered pins are on the way for permanent fix.
Grandmas hairpin works wonders!


Put it back, plugged it in, lock works just fine!

All these times in past when my lock function was lost, it was due to pin falling apart.
