Default Power Lock issues

My power locks won't work all of a sudden on my 06 Hummer H3

. The lights flash still when I use the fob, but neither the door switch (either of them) or the fob work, nor do they lock or unlock putting in in or out of gear. I have changed the fuse and no results. Any ideas?

I just went through this. In my case it was the driver's switch. It comes as a unit (all window switches and lock switch). Same symptoms as yours, except my driver's side window wouldn't work either.

GM wants something like $180. You can find them on Amazon, but be advised, it took three switches (and a lot of head scratching because of it) before I got mine working. They came DOA for me.

many times the switch can be disassembled carefully and cleaned out if they are not too badly rusted/ corroded. you can use IPA.

Church won't save you. You will still have to clean the connections.

Did this happen after changing the battery, or charging a dead battery????

Happened to me twice, first time after I removed battery to fully charge it, next time after installing new battery.

I removed cables from battery, left for 30 minutes, then reconnected and it worked.
Did all the usual voodoo stuff, rubbing cables together, turning ignition switch, honking, dried bat wings and horse urine.

I also took off master switch block, cleaner connectors.

I am afraid removing/disconnecting battery ever since.

Will by cheap knock off from china and put it in for a test.

7 times out of 10, if it was because of a loss of battery power, it will correct itself in say 3-6 ignition cycles. You don't have to do anything except drive it. If it still persists after say 10 ignition cycles, then worry about addressing it.

In case some do not know what an Ignition Cycle is: means starting a cold motor and running it to full operating temp.
