Hummer H3For the Hummer driver who wants the rugged look and off road capabilities of the Hummer, but in a smaller size and with a more fuel economy friendly engine.
Thanks in advance for any and all assistance received.
I have an '08 H3 Alpha. I rebuilt the 4l60e and installed last weekend. On test drive, I had no 4th gear. I also noticed the gear shifter would not come out of park, had to manually depress the solenoid release button under console. Additionally, the automatic door locks no longer functioned. I used my tech2 scanner monitor the transmission, but 4th was never commanded. I commanded 4th with the tech2 and got an error regarding transmission range with engine running. Many hours of troubleshooting later, I found that I have voltage present on pins 3,4,5,6,8,& 11 of the range switch connector. N. Safe switch
Only pins 11 & 12 should have voltage. Pin 7 should be a ground, but it is not. From the wiring diagrams, the gear ranges are common to ground as the switch rotates. I'm looking for confirmation or a word or two saying I'm waaaay out of bounds. If my testing is correct, my TCM is toast.

Update****
I removed the TCM and rung out both the connector and the module itself. All connector pins that should be powered and those for ground were also correct. I checked the module itself and all pins that should be low or ground were. No other pins had commonality. When I plugged the module back in, the wires that went to the range selector switch were hot. Unless the TCM is looking for a short as an input, the module is toast. I cannot find any information if this is true or not.
