Rear cargo door, door switch sticks, sometimes light goes on, sometimes dont. Can switch be sprayed with some Wd40?

 

I would check for any loose connections?

Once one of those little "pin switches" starts sticking you might as well pony up the $10 and just get a new one. heck buy a few for future use also.

It will save you the headache of having your wife/girlfriend/boyfriend/whatever tell you that "the lights inside your HUMMER don't work!"

 

I have replaced mine before. Somehow on my vehicle the way the water tends to drain it corrodes the contacts. The last one I put in, I encased the back side in silicon and put anti-ox on the contacts. They are called door jam switchs and can be purchased at GMPartshouse and I've seen them on Ebay. Easy to replace.
