Thanks
You could have messaged him or others directly instead of reviving a 4-year old dead thread as your first post lmao.

There is a SEARCH function here and on the interweb, start using it instead of digging up OLD Threads. Or READ the last post which you tacked on after and assume it was the fix.

If you still can't figure it out, then post up your brand new question in a new thread.

Good luck.

Apologies. That is what I attempted to do, but I got a message that my "account doesn't have enough priveleges to send messages...etc." Sorry to be "that guy."

Default Low Oil Pressure Warning H3 at Idle

I'm wondering if the oil dip stick is accurate. My 2006 H3 started having low oil pressure warnings again and the oil lever was in the middle of the safe area. I replaced the switch and serviced the engine with 6 quarts of oil 5w30 Mobil 1. The dip stick did not show the oil level at the top of the safe area. Now, I am not recommending this to anyone, but I added an additional 1/4 quart of oil. The H3 then went on a 240 mile trip and everything was ok. My 2 cents.

Default H3 Low Oil Pressure at Idle

Read all the threads. Replaced oil pressure sensor switch. Started using 15/40 engine oil and still have a low oil pressure warning on hot days at idle. A professional mechanic told me, the engines wear out and mine was worn out. Just for fun. I replaced the switch I previously installed-Autozone Duralast Gold Switch with a OEM switch. Problem solved. It is hot as a match here, Florida, and the low pressure warning light is NOT coming on. For what it is worth...my two cents.
