Hello - I have a 2007 H3 with a 5cyl and what has been happening is when the engine has been running and is at normal temperature, when I come to a stop and it is idling the low preassure light goes on ... as soon as I step on the gas it goes out. I changed the oil preassure sensor behind the oil filter hoping that would correct it but no luck. Has anyone else come across this and been able correct it?

 

My '07 3 never showed a oil "preassure" light! Check your engine oil level/condition.

The next question for you. What Oil and Filter are you using now? Was the Oil recently changed just before the oil light issue?

 

I ran some synthetic motor medic through it for an engine flush and changed the oil with rotella t6. The light has not been on since...my plan is to run it for 1000 miles and change the oil again to see how dirty it comes out. My mechanic was ready to throw the towel in on it...I may be throwing the towel in on them. I have 168,000 on it now I hope to get over 300,000.
