Thanks for all the good/bad info on the H3 radio. Back to when I purchased my very beautiful Solar Flare H3 with the most lovely Cashmere interior and I installed the glorious step rails. The radio a 6 cd changer was messed up. It had 6 cd's stuck in it. When I turned it on it would just go click, click and that's all. So I took it out, ( removed it from vehicle ) for you puritans. Took it all apart and broke out all the cd's. Only way to get them out. According to what I've read, when it is removed it goes in lock mode. Also when battery is unplugged. I did not get the code when I purchased said H3. Stupid me. When I removed it I did not unplug the battery. I reinstalled the radio. It came on. FM, Am clock etc. I did not try the cd mode as I was afraid it would screw things up. I've had battery disconnected several ( a lot ) times and it comes right on.
Now to the other part. I keep this old out of date, junk, piece of crap as I've been informed by the powers to be here on the forums. It will remain in said H3 as long as I own it. I never listen to it. Just for wife when she is with me. ( take radio ) The reason for me never turning it on is, I've lost 90% of my hearing. This happened overnight. DR's, Scans, etc. Hearing aids don't work. Not a candidate for the Cochlear implant. So you learn to live with. All music sounds the same, can't tell different between Willie Nelson and Opera singer. lol. So my junk radio stays. Just one ? Is it normal not to have to enter the un-lock code?

maybe it is programmed to the vin like in the case of my 6cd oem radio in the h2. it never needs a code until it goes into another vehicle.

Time for good info. I installed a OOGAH, OOGAH horn in the H3. It is separate form the regular horn. Sounds great. I will probably include this in my law all Hummers must have the beautiful step rails. It is a must have. Like the spare tire metal cover. Don't be caught without all these.
Now for some TPMS info. I received the little black box for the TPMS delete. As you've read about my complaints on this , ( tire light stays on no matter what I do. ) Well I went through all instructions and light still on. However seller said they had a problem with a H3 and on second start light would go off. Found this to be true on mine. Drove about 2 miles and on second start light went out. Happy camper. But not for long. After about 7 or 8 miles light came back on. I went back to the set up, Light is out again. Maybe I bumped the off button on the box. Drove around some today, light is off. Will keep all posted on this. I know all is soooooo interested in my light problem.

I don't use the horn, so I would not get cited under your law!
Btw, now you know the TPMS(TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM) IS WORKING AND YOUR TPMS SENSORS ARE JUNK!

So you are saying if I replace the sensors with another brand, then the light would go out. No need for the black box?

You have an impressive thread here with lots of good information in it.
Remember this post way up there?:
Btw, the seller dropped the price since original post. Just visually check your tires before you go for a ride, and if you feel the ride change(pull/thump/wobble/vibration/etc) while driving, stop and check your tires.Worked for me in the '70's, '80's, & '90's.

Spoke too soon. Went for a short drive and light came back on. I give up. Thanks for the link to TPMS sensors. Put them on my watch list. I buy then sometime in next few days. Mean time, H3 is going to set. Thinking about selling it. never had so much aggravation. Happy hour hear I come.
